Monday ,Monday

Greetings all! Well here it is Monday again. I was hoping to get some stitchng done this weekend and didn't realize that I would be able to get as much done as I did. You see, there wasn't any housework that got done this weekend. Would you like to know why? I was a bit immoblized as I had kicked a duffle bag that was left out in the floor and dislocated my toe. I had kicked the wheel as I was walking and just didn't see the bag there. So needless to day I was in pain and not so able to walk around. My slave, oh I mean my son ( LOL!) brought me all my supplies and I just sat in the recliner with my foot up with an icepack and stitched. At least until my dad came over and put my toe back in place. I knew if I went to the ER all they would pretty much do is take an x-ray and tape that toe to the next one . So I figure why spend all that time waiting in the waiting room and then in the exam room, not to mention the high bill ,for something I knew my dad could do. We were also with satelite for awhile as our dog Daisy chewed the satelite cable in-two. Then this morning she got out of the backyard and ran off. We found her though.I can feel CarolynNC's pain of the dogs reeking havoc. Anyway... on to stitching. I got some stitching done on No Bees ,but then I had an itch to stitch on something else. I started two more projects. One of which I forgot to take a picture of ,but the other is of Bent Creek's Waiting for Santa.I didn't get any stitching done on exchanges but I will work some more on them this week.

Here is my weekend progress of No Bees. I suppose it grew a little this weekend, not as much as I'd hoped ,but I just had to start those others. You all know what I'm talking about.

Here is Waiting for Santa. I am going to make a pillow out of it so there I didn't really need to leave much room on the sides.I need to find just the perfect fabric so later this week I will go to the quilt store and look around.

Here is a close up. I am stitching this on 28 count natural linen using some DMC and Weeks.

Well I suppose this will be it today. Thanks so much for the comments. I appreciate them!

'Til next time,

Happy Stitching,

Sharlotte

  1. Aww! Your poor toe! It's good that your Dad could fix it for you. As to slaves, isn't that why we had children?! hahahaha Just kidding! I love my kids, though they do help out in a pinch. Can't wait to see the completed stitching.

  5. How can something as small as toes hurt so much! But what a good excuse to spend the weekend stitching, housework can always wait a bit. Hope your feeling better now, and back on your feet for the week.

  6. Youch! Hope your toe is better soon! Lovely stitching. Pretend the toe hurts is inhibiting your ability to do housework and thus you must only stitch. My kids roll their eyes when I tell them the reason I had kids was so somebody else would unload the groceries, etc., but they do it! ;)
