THE GIVEAWAY!

Greetings all! My first giveaway is here! Now, before I give the details , I wanted to update on a couple of things. My guys have respiratory infections! The poor things! Well after we came home from the doctor and then pharmacy for the meds, this is what we were greeted with! I went to unlock the door and this huge spider repelled itself down on it's webbing and stopped right in front of my face! I hate spiders and I ran off of the porch! My husband and son are trying to figure out what in the world is wrong with me all of a sudden, and then they see it. Even though I detest these things , I ran to get the camera. So , here he is. I kid you not, this spider was about 3 inches long. Biggest spider I had ever seen ,and although I know that there are bigger spiders out there , I don't care to get up close and personal to find out just how big they are!

Well my mom went in for surgery this morning. I have tried calling but still haven't heard anything. I would loved to have been there first hand like I had for her others surgeries and her treatments, but she requested that I stay home and take care of the boys. Considering that they could possibly have something else along with the respiratory infections, I knew she was right. After all , I don't want to spread anything to anyone else ( especially her ) should I be carrying anything. It killed me to stay home though.

Well ,here it is! For the giveaway I stitched part of Blackbird Designs 'Be Kind and True' and made it into a needlebook.I stitched it on 32 count lambswool linen using DMC and some Weeks Dye Works. I used an antique looking sage green moire fabric for the back and inside . For the pages I used a 28 count oatmeal evenweave as I thought that would look nice as this sort of has a natural feel to it. It closes with a mother of pearl button and loop made from DMC.
