Thinking of summer....and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

Howdy everyone!~ Now I know what you all must be thinking....she's thinking of summer, is she off her rocker?! Well, ask the right person and you just might get a YES! I know that I have been wanting Spring , which you're probably all sick of hearing about , and now I mention Summer. Well... technically I'm not really thinking about Summer, just the cute little Summer House design I just stitched up from Little House Needleworks. I didn't have the called for Crescent Colours on hand so I substituted my own. I used DMC for the house ,flag , stars , and wording, Weeks for the vines and stems , and Gentle Arts Simply Shaker for the flowers. I like the way it turned out. I plan on finishing it into a pin keep unless some other mood strikes me.

The last few days hubby has been fighting a bug. We even made a trip to the ER because he ended up spiking a temp of almost 102 degrees. Now , I think I am getting it. I really hope not. My son is going to his nana's in Oklahoma for Spring break and I would really like to enjoy MY break, not use it dealing with being sick. Isn't that just the way it goes? If I'm not sick , I am contenplating what I will do with my time. Will I do some Spring cleaning? Deep cleaning? Yard work? Organizing? Quilt? Or just sit in front of the tube and mindlessly veg while stitching ? Hmmm....so much to ponder!

Well all, gotta go for now. I want to thank you all for coming by and visiting , and THANK YOU so much for all of your wonderful comments. I do so appreciate them all!!

'till next time,

Don't be a stranger,

Sharlotte

  1. Another gorgeous little design Sharlotte, the colours are lovely and soft and the blue house really says 'Summer'. Fingers crossed for you the bug passes you by and you get to make good use of your spring break - my choice: veg while stitching!

  2. Such a sweet summer design and lovely stitching. I am not anxious for summer, near 100 temperatures and 100% humidity :( I am hoping that after this really cold winter, that we might have a mild summer.

  7. I like your summer piece Sharlotte. I know it's not summer but it makes us think of all the warm weather ahead. Hope that you're not getting ill too. It seems now that the weather has broken and the temps have gotten a little nicer, everyone is getting sick. Take care of yourself!
