Looking a little more like Spring!

Howdy everybody!! It is starting to look a little like Spring here with the birds flying around and looking for things to build nests. I just love hearing all of their chirping! The crocuses and jonquils are coming up in the neighborhood too. Even our next door neighbor is starting to get the bug. She was out in her backyard this past weekend tilling her garden spot getting it all ready. Our neighor is a botanist at the local university and she always has lots of pretty things blooming. Now myself... I can't grow anything! I always say I have a brown thumb. I was thrilled to find a pattern from Bent Creek called "My Thumb Is Brown". I knew I had to stitch it up for myself. I've had it stitched for a while but I don't think I've posted it before. Here it is.
I had had this fabric in my stash for quite some time and thought it was the perfect match for the design.

I don't take very good close-ups so you can't see the beadwork very well. I used beads instead of french knots on the flowers and I like the way it turned out.

Thank you all for your continued visits and wonderful comments. They so make my day.Thank you so much for stopping by today and come back real soon!

take care and don't be a stranger,

Sharlotte

  10. It's lovely, the thread colours and fabric colours are a perfect match - I hate doing French Knots so your solution to use beads is one I will be using in future projects ~ HAPPY SPRING!
