A little sunshine coming my way!!!

Greetings one and all!~ I am finally starting to feel like Spring has sprung here in the Ozarks! Yesterday the sun came out and all of the snow and sleet we had gotten disappeared . Then the mail brought a wonderful surprise for the Easter exchange from Conny over at http://creativebasket.blogspot.com/ . In the package was some wonderful trims, some sweet little bunny stick-ons. They look like they are little momma and babies together.

Then there is the WONDERFUL pin keep that she sent! It is from the Little House Needleworks chart "Two Roosters". She had seen that the chart was on my wishlist and decided to stitch it for me. I appreciate your thoughtfulness to take the time to put in that much detail Conny ! Thank you so so much!

She found just the perfect backing fabric. Isn't it awesome?! I have been eyeing some of her other work and she finds just the perfect backing fabric for her stitching!! Thanks again! I will display it proudly! ( ok girlfriend, you gotta tell me how you get those stitches so perfect!)

Alex is still enjoying his time with the grandma and the grandpa. I miss him though! :( It looks like my time to myself will be cut short. Jack requested a few days off of work yesterday and they were approved, so he will be off of work for 5 days starting Thursday. I'm a little bummed that my "me" time is cut short , but I will enjoy my time with him.

I did a little stitching last night while watching the movie "Far From Heaven" with Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid. Anyone seen this movie? I thought it was very well done. A different story line than I expected. I was pleased to see Dennis Haysbert. I like his acting and I think he did a bangup job in this movie. I wonderf if HE has Allstate insurance! LOL! Today I plan on do my stitching while watching Little Women with Winona Ryder. One of my all time favorite movies. Do any of you have movies that you like to watch during certain seasons? I was just wondering , because I do. Like in the Spring I like to watch movies like "Steel Magnolias" and "Dennis the Menace" . I have other movies that I like to watch during certain seasons also or movies I like to watch while it's raining. Maybe I'm just weird?!! LOL!

I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful day! If you've never made a comment before, please do so. I love to hear from new readers and comments! :) Welcome also to all of my new readers and followers!! Thanks for your visit. Please come again soon!

'till next time,

don't be a stranger,

Sharlotte

  4. What a beautiful exchange...lucky lady!

I think we all are "seasonal watchers"! LOL! I love to watch Sense & Sensibilities in the spring, and Wuthering Heights in the fall...they just seem to fit that way! Course, I love to watch Hocus Pocus anytime of the year, LOL!

    HAPPY STITCHIN'

  5. Catherine,
Winkin' right back at ya! ;)

    Cindy,
Yeah, I know what you mean, I thought the movie was really different as well. Wasn't the story line I expected. I thought they did a good job with portraying how someone would have reacted to the subject matter for the time period of the movie.

    Terri,
Hocus Pocus has been on quite a bit lately, wonder why? I tend to think of it mostly in October. At first I thougt you said you tought we were all seasonal stitchers and I though, "yeahhhh" , then I got it! Little slow sometimes! LOL! Just used some of the overdyed floss you sent, thanks again for that!

I haven't seen that movie, but I will look for it and rent it, I often wodnder about Dennis too, especially when he was on "24," he needed Allstate! LOL. I think it will be nice to have DH home to yourself, go on a lunch date and to a movie :)

Here's to spring! You have had more than your share of snow these days.

  7. Hope you enjoy the time to yourself and with DH. The rooster pin keep is awesome! I love to rewatch Anne of Green Gables, Jane Austen movies, the Sarah, Plain and Tall, etc. I don't get to do it too often!

  8. I just love the rooster pinkeep. And the fabric on the back is awesome too! I wish that I could say that I get into seasonal movie watching, but I don't. Seems that someone is always stealing the TV from me at night, and I just can't get myself to sit down during the day and stitch.

  9. I LOVE that version of "Little Women". One day I want to get Hanna to sit down and watch it with me. I think she would like it. Great giftie!

  10. Enjoy your lovely exchange. And your movies. The only movies I watch seasonally are Christmas ones. Though there are plenty I love to watch again and again but not at any specific time. :)

  14. I enjoy stitching this rooster for you. So glad that you like it. I really appreciated your private mail because I was a little bit worried because it took so long before it arrived. I cann't tell you about the perfect stitches because I only use my fingers, no q-snaps or a ring.
