A busy stitchy weekend

Happy Monday!~ I'm so glad that you all stopped by today! Thanks for your visit. Well, I had a pretty good weekend of being able to see without to much bluriness, so I thought I would take advantage of it and get in some stitching done. Before I get to that though , I have to show you what all I got from Terri's drawing she had. She threw in a whole bunch of stuff. She sent fat quarters of finishing fabric, snowflake charms, cross charms , some lugana, overdyed floss, a pumpkin pincushion, a frame. I could go on but I think you can see most of it. Thanks so so much Terri. I am thrilled to pieces!

I got my Hop Squared from Lizzie Kate finished into a needle roll. I stitched it on a blue shade of hand dyed linen, that was 28 count I think., using DMC and Weeks. Can't tell you the specs on the maker of the linen as it was part of a grab bag. I tried to get the picture turned around , but couldn't get it to for some reason. You get the idea though. I really like the way it turned out.

I also stitched this up for St. Patrick's Day. It is from A Prairie Year from Prairie Schooler. I stitched on 25 count clay lugana using DMC. Not real sure how I will finish it.

I also took some time to finish off a piece that I've had sitting for few months. It is the bonus acorn pattern from Be Ye Thankful from The Cricket Collection. I stitched it on 28 count oatmeal evenweave using DMC and finished it into a hat box. I like the way it turned out. I used a fall theme print fabric with leaves and acorns for the band of the lid and the bottom of the inside of the box. Now it is all ready for displaying this Fall. The pattern and finishing fabric, as well as the fabric it is sitting on, came from Jolene. Thanks so much ! ( I did get your card in the mail by the way, thanks :) )

Remember that frame at the beginning of this post that I won from Terri? Well I was stitching up this motif from Quakers and Quilts that I had gotten from Edgar this weekend. Wasn't quite sure what I would do with it. I was thinking of maybe a biscornu, and then the package arrived from Terri with the perfect frame for it. I had a button in the perfect shade and added it to the middle. Here it is all stitched and framed! Thanks Terri and Edgar!

Well are you all pictured out yet? I will have more this week so stay tuned! Oh and Deb, as soon as I get the Spring tag made for my sheep, I am going to put the Spring blanket on. I told my husband what you said and he said "do it"! Thanks for the nudge.

Thank you all for all of your wonderful comments. They are so nice to get and to read. Hope you all visit again real soon.

'till next time,

Sharlotte
