Good Monday all!~ Hope you all had a great weekend! So which did you do , go shopping or watch the Super Bowl with your sweetheart? I myself folded laundry, watched my usual Sunday night Newhart episodes on WGN and then came in to watch the rest of the game. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't make any bets!
As promised on Friday, I have a finish to show you from my four project start last weekend. I of course still have to finish this into a basket , but the punching part is done. I was inspired to punch this after seeing Jolene's on her blog. To remind those that seen it, it is Speckled Eggs from With Thy Needle & Thread. One side is wanting to curl a little so it's not laying completely straight. That will be fixed though when I get it into finished form. I didn't use the recommended threads because I have a lot of DMC that I needed to use before it gets old and breaks. Doesn't it make you think of Spring?!!
I also started on another pair of socks for mom. I am using Patton's sock yarn. Here is my start.
We had our little card making get together. Unfortunately most of them didn't show. The rest had fun though. They decided to finish them at home as the night was getting late. I made one to sort of demo how to do it. My dad's birthday is coming up in March and he loves to fish so I thought I'd work on that. Everything was cut on the Cricut. I left it blank inside but I may add the happy birthday letters later. Here is my finished card.
I know I'd never be hired by Hallmark but I had fun! :)
Well that's it for me . Hope you all have a great day and thanks for all of your comments!!
"till next time,
Happy Stitching,
Sharlotte
I guess I shouldn't say this.. but WHY OH WHY did you have to show me something cute like the rabbit project?! Now I'm going to have to learn how to do it and I'm just now learning to cross stitch! LOL
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the Super Bowl. I watched the Sound of Music and stitched.
I didn't watch the superbowl either. I watched a Bleak House miniseries and stitched. Sharlotte, I just love your bunny punch needle. It looks so much like spring (I can't wait). Please post a pic when it's finished!
ReplyDeletePS . . . what kind of punchneedle do you use? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteLove it :)
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching, knitting, and card-making. Rabbit is sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThe bunny punchneedle does make me think of spring, I can't wait for the flowers and nicer weather to appear. And I think getting a hand made card is so much nicer than anything Hallmark can mass produce, it looks lovely (nice choice of colors too)
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy! I love the punchneedle project and will look foward to seeing the finished project. The sock is great too, I'm knitting a pair of plain one's now and it's so soothing. I've always wanted to scrap and card make - both of which are on my to do one day list. It looks like you're having loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteYour punchneedle rabbit is adorable! Makes me wish for spring! You make the cutest cards with you Cricut! Don't worry about Hallmark, your cards are better and made with love!
ReplyDeleteThe rabbis it so cute. You have been busy.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Sharlotte! I really must try punch needle, I just love the With Thy Needle & Thread patterns. Love the card, too!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharlotte,
ReplyDeleteWe watched the Superbowl and had our own little Superbowl party with just the three of us. Big football fans here. Unfortunately our team didn't win, but if the Colts had to lose, I am glad it was to the Saints if that makes sense.
Your punchneedle is really pretty! I have all the supplies to do this and have just never gotten brave enough to try it. I am going to have to remedy this soon.
Your cardmaking sounds like a lot of fun. Isn't the Cricut just the neatest little crafty tool? :)
It looks fantastic Sharlotte. I love those WTH&T thread patterns too, but have yet to master needlepunch!
ReplyDeleteCute finish!! :)
