We have air!!!!

Greetings dear friends and blogging buddies!~ You read right! We now have new airconditioning! Finally! It is so so nice. It has been very hot and miserable here and without descent output of air....well you can imagine!
Some more of the Cosmos have bloomed. Of any of the flowers I have ever tried to plant , these are the only types I can ever get to produce a bloom.

Haven't been doing much stitching lately , but I did manage to get a little more done on the HoHRH piece. I switched the colors around a bit on block #2. The called for colors looked a lot different than what the pictured showed. I really liked what the picture looked like so I had to change it around some to get it to look more like the model.

Well I will be meeting the little girl again today to give her another knitting lesson. I think I will try a different tactic to see if I can get her to understand a little better. Someone asked the other day in the comments if I would be taking pictures. I have asked some of the parents how they felt and they were okay with it. I have not asked this parent yet , so I should be getting that done pretty soon!
Well, I better travel along and get some things done before heading out the door. Thank you all for your continued visits and for the wonderful comments. Keep 'em coming! Do stop by again soon!
'till next time,
don't be a stranger,
Sharlotte

  1. Hi Sharlotte! So glad you have a/c that is working for you!! Your Cosmos look beautiful...I didn't get any to come up this year...my seeds kept getting washed away by the rain.

    Have a great Monday.

  3. I am not sure how you managed it without AC. I would be living in a hotel. Glad it is working again and the flowers are so pretty!

  6. I so agree with you on the colors not matching the pictures. I started the original HRH a few years ago and was so disappointed in the colors, I gave up. Used the fabric for something else, put the threads away and gave the chart away to someone.

  7. Ya Hoo on the air. We were without ours for a week too and it was rather miserable. What did they do in the old days? Your flowers are so pretty and so is your HoHRH. I can't imagine you got too much done while the air was out, did you? I couldn't - the Ott light was making me even hotter!!

  8. Yipee! I know you are relieved to be cool for a change. It is supposed to be hot here this week and I can't even imagine not having A/C.

Do a lot of the colors not match the picture?

  10. So glad to hear that your AC is fixed!! Ours went out Saturday - luckily we have a maintainence agreement and someone was able to come by on Sunday and it was an easy fix. I can imagine how happy you are that it is fixed!

Your flowers look great and your progress - wow!

  11. Your stitching is just beautiful! I love those colors. I tried knitting, but didn't quite get it. I think I'm too hooked on cross stitch to knit!
