I don't know if you can tell in this next picture here, but in real ife the second rainbow was more vivid. I sometimes think of the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" when I see one, but I always think of Noah and the Ark and the promise the rainbow represents.
Well , I got LHN's Virtue Sampler done . It was a lot of fun to stitch. I had planned on framing it and putting it in my laundry room , but now I am thinking of maybe making it into a quilted tote. I will have to think on that one.
I wanted to give a shout out to a new blogger . Some of you have already seen her blog. Her name is Peggy Lee, go check out her blog. Yesterday Ma Teakettle gave a shout out on her and you should see how fast her blog followers are growing. I know last week, she had three,me and tow others. Yesterday morning she had 6, and then whammo, it jumped to 30! Can you imagine gaining 24 followers in one day?! That's quite impressive! Another one you can check out is Colorado Stitcher. She has deleted her old blog and has began a new one.
I will be taking a new project to work on and will be sitting up at the hospital for probably a good portion of the day. My husband's grandmother was taken to the hospital for sugar spikes and then huge and fast drops. She is a diabetic. Her blood pressure as of last night was staying fairly steady of around 67/44 which , of course , is not good. She has really been declining in the last several months so we shall see how it goes. Prayers and thoughts would be appreciated.
I will go. You all take care and have a lovely day! Thank you all so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.
'till next time,
don't be a stranger,
Sharlotte
Gorgeous gorgeous rainbow and photos.
ReplyDeleteLove the two finishes - nice work especially that little rooster.
I hope that your Grandma recovers well.
Your finishes are lovely Sharlotte. I'm sure however you decide to finish the sampler it will be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you BIG BUNCHES for giving me a nod here. I'm still dumbfounded by the response to my blog. Stitchers are amazing!
My prayers are with your husband's grandmother. Please keep us posted.

Congrats on the finishes Sharlotte :-) They're lovely! I like the idea of the quilted tote, but I know it will look great however you finish it.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics of the double rainbow.
I will keep your DHs grandma and all of you in my thoughts x x
Lovely finishes!! I like both ideas you have for the LHN piece - you'll do fabulous on either!
ReplyDeleteRainbows are such hard creatures to capture on film. The pics never seem to do them justice! I'm still hoping to catch a picture of the end of one so I can find that pot of gold!
I lost my Grandmother last month after a few trying months, so I know how stressful these times can be. Thoughts and prayers to you all.
Congrats on the sweet finishes Sharlotte, they're both lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your DS's gramma. I hope she improves.
