Ok, I mentioned that I was going to be starting another project yesterday. I began stitching and this was as far as I got.
I didn't take a picture of the chart, so I thought I would leave you all guessing on what I am stitching. Anyone know???
I used to have a subscription to McCall's Quilting Quick Quilts. I just love the little sseasonal banners by Pat Sloan that they always publish. This particular one of this little turkey, I have wanted to sew up ever since it came out. Well, that was 11 years ago, and I am FINALLY going to make it this year.
Here are the fabrics I purchased for it. I put them in the wash and now they are just ready for me to get my hands on my rotary cutter and get cutting!
I hope you all stay tuned for how these two projects turn out. If you want to sign up for the drawing for the Bushel & A Peck chart from yesterday, be sure and do so before Monday morning as I will be drawing the name then. Thanks so much for stoppimg by today!
'til next time,
don't be a stranger,

What a great exchange! And those fabrics are wonderful! The one reminds me of my Beautyberry Bush and it's purple berries.
ReplyDeleteWhat FUN goodies! I'm doing a happy dance with you!
ReplyDeleteI love baskets with lids and this is a beautiful one! I'm looking forward to seeing your Pat Sloan project.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a wonderful exchange gift you've received. Enjoy all the goodies that Melissa sent you.
ReplyDeleteVery nice new project. It looks like a Bent Creek.
That new project is Gobble by Bent Creek! Ta-da! I love it when I know a chart! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYea, Maggee got it! Gobble by Bent Creek. Wonderful exchange from Melissa! I like the fabbys you picked for the gooble quilt hanging.
ReplyDeleteI'm too lazy to go look the chart's name up but I know that's a Bent Creek. I have the Pig and Chicken ABC charts done up and hanging in my kitchen. :)
ReplyDelete(And one of these days I'll get around to finishing Cow.)
I'm so glad that you liked the exchange. Your start on Gobble is great. Looking forward to seeing your quilting finish.
ReplyDeleteI was going to guess either Gobble by Bent Creek or a LK design. Sometimes they are very close. Quilting too - my hat is off to you! Your package contained some pretties - lucky you!

Love your exchange...she did a great job on the finish! Love the BC Gobble....really need to stitch this one up too!
ReplyDeleteLastly...I love your banner and can't wait to see this one done. Your fabrics are perfect for it. Happy stitching...
I know-I know- that charts a Bent Creek with a cute little turkey on top! I own it too, so hopefully seeing you finish it will motivate me to start mine.
ReplyDeleteLovely exchange and stitching!
